(March 3, 2014) – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) today announced former Bridgewater College coach Bill Leatherman and former Ohio Northern University coach Joe Campoli as the head coaches for the 2014 Reese’s Division III College All-Star game, which will be played as part of the 2014 NCAA® Division III Men’s Basketball Championship. August 17, 2012 NABC SUBMITS AMICUS BRIEF TO SUPREME COURT IN FISHER VS. THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN et al. KANSAS CITY, Mo. (August 17, 2012) -- The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), along with 43 current and former college basketball coaches, has submitted an amicus brief to the United States Supreme Court on August 13, 2012. The amicus brief, or “friend of the court” brief was submitted on the Fisher vs. University of Texas at Austin, et al. lawsuit.
August 8, 2012 NABC ANNOUNCES 2011-12 HONORS COURT Kansas City, Mo. (July 10, 2012) -- The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) today announced the NABC Honors Court, recognizing those collegiate basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics during the 2011-12 season. The NABC Honors Court recognizes the talents and gifts that these men possess off the court, and the hard work they exhibit in the classroom. In order to be named to the Honors Court, an athlete must meet a high standard of academic criteria. 3. Students must have matriculated at least one year at their current institution. 4. Member of an NCAA Division I, II, III, or NAIA Institution.
July 26, 2012 CBE HALL OF FAME CLASSIC FIELD FINALIZED KANSAS CITY, MO – The National Association of Basketball Coaches announced today that the field for the 2012 CBE Hall of Fame Classic has been set. Kansas, Saint Louis, Texas A&M and Washington State will serve as the four Host Round participants for this year’s CBE Hall of Fame Classic, with the opening round games beginning on November 9th. Each team will play two games on campus before advancing to the Championship Rounds on November 19-20 at Sprint Center in Kansas City, MO. Joining Kansas, Saint Louis, Texas A&M and Washington State in the 2012 CBE Hall of Fame Classic are Eastern Washington, Louisiana Tech, Santa Clara, Southeast Missouri State, Tennessee-Chattanooga, Troy, USC-Upstate and Utah Valley. Santa Clara and Tennessee-Chattanooga will serve as Sub-Hosts for games played November 18-23. ESPN Networks will broadcast the four Championship Round games. The Semifinal Doubleheader featuring Texas A&M and Saint Louis will be aired on ESPNU at 7:30pm (ET), followed by Washington State and Kansas on ESPN2. The next evening, the Consolation Game will be shown on ESPN3 at 7:00pm (ET), followed by the Championship Game on ESPNU.
