KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches announced on Wednesday that Iowa Community College Athletic Conference Commissioner Thom McDonald has been appointed to the NABC Board of Directors.
McDonald becomes the NABC Board of Directors’ first member representing the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). In addition to his role at the ICCAC, McDonald also serves as chairman of NJCAA Division II Men’s Basketball, and as regional director of NJCAA Region XI.
“We are thrilled to welcome Thom to our Board of Directors,” said NABC Executive Director Jim Haney. “His coaching background and experience at the NJCAA level will offer an important perspective to our association.”
Prior to his administrative career, McDonald held coaching and operations positions at Florida State, Drake, Perry Community School and West Lyon Community School.
